About

These Senior AP projects represent the culmination of years of dedicated work in the Visual Arts at Waterford.

Our Visual Arts program is one of the finest in the United States. We offer outstanding tracks in Photography, Ceramics, and Drawing & Painting.

The mission of the Waterford Department of Visual Arts is to provide young artists with the time and space necessary to develop both technical skill and personal artistic vision. As an essential element of a broad liberal arts curriculum, our studio-based courses stimulate material experimentation and intellectual curiosity. Each course offers students an active experience with materials, techniques, processes, and vocabulary necessary for a solid foundation in visual art and design. We aim to ignite passion in students by offering them exciting opportunities to discover talents unacknowledged in the past. Our faculty of working artists provide students with historically informed, hands-on instruction necessary to set in motion individual pursuit of meaning. It is our belief that this process shapes the character of Waterford students by building sensitivity to and awareness of the world around them.
